The Greentown branch of FFBT will hold their 3rd Annual Cancer Walk on May 14th at the Howard County 4-H Fairgrounds. For those of you who haven't attended in the past two years, the Greentown branch dedicates a lot of time to hold events such as this to raise funds for the Howard County Relay for Life and to raise awareness for an organization that the branch cares deeply about. This is one of many events that the Greentown branch hosts, and their total goal for the year is to raise $10,000. We'll keep you posted on their progress and on the events that other Howard County branches are holding to reach this goal.
The following are details about the event:
- Registration starts at 10:00am and the walk will start at 10:30 on Saturday May 14th at the Howard County 4-H Fairgrounds.
- There is a $20 minimum pledge per walker. For walkers that wish to collect donations for their fee, forms are available at the Greentown Branch or download it here: Download FFBT Cancer Walk Pledge Sheet. All pledges must be turned in the day of the walk.
- Refreshments and a commemorative gift will be given to all participants at no cost and water is being provided by the Greentown Lions Club.
- This year, instead of 'In Memory' signs, we'll be doing a balloon release. Forms are available at the Greentown branch and the cost is $5.00.
All proceeds with benefit the Howard County Relay for Life.
